The conclusion of the 9th CIDICS Anniversary

October 26 marked the closure of the 9th Anniversary of the Center for Research and Development on Health Sciences (CIDICS) and the 25th National Week of Sciences and Technology. The events started on September 27 with Public Health Research Conferences were MD Dora Elia Cortés Hernández, MPC. Graciela Gómez Martínez, MSP Verónica Velasco Villavicencio, MCSP Brenda Giselle Álvarez Rodríguez, and Lic. Zaira Lucia González Contreras hosted the conferences.

Subsequently, the #ForoCiencias CIDICS (Science Forums) followed suit; on which, experts on Health, Social Sciences, and Engineering gathered to talk about technology and innovation on their own areas of specialty. And finally, this cycle of events ended with conferences on the National Week of Sciences and Technology were 8 high schools, 16 teachers, and 375 external assistants participated. This was arranged in collaboration with the I2T2 (Nuevo León Institute of Innovation and Technology Transfer) and the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT).

MP/M.Sc. Juan Manuel Saldívar Blanco, Academic Coordinator of CIDICS, presented the data and results gathered from the celebration. It was mentioned that 6 forums, 11 lectures, and 18 events were carried out and the Experimental Therapeutics, Bioimaging, Nutriton, Dentistry, Immunomodulators, Tissue Engineering, Genomics, Emergent Pathogens, and Neurosciences Units contributed to the events. There were 23 Facebook Live streams and 13,662 people were part of the 9th Anniversary celebration.

Certifications were given to the members of the Units that collaborated on this celebration. Furthermore, MD Dora Elia Cortés Hernández, CIDICS Coordinator, shared a few words of gratitude to everyone involved. And lastly, Lic. Cassandra Saldaña Pineda presented the design for the 10th CIDICS Anniversary logo that will be used next year with many new activities and surprises.
