He was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, on March 12 of 1937. In 1954 he starts his studies at the Plastic Arts workshop of the University of Nuevo León. He complemented his artistic formation with courses by renowned teachers. In the year 1956 he undertook a course of engraving with teacher Leopoldo Méndez, and in the year 1961 of mural painting with teacher Pablo O’Higgins. From 1963 to 1972 he performed as a teacher of the Plastic Arts workshop of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, and from 1970 to 1972 as the Plastic Arts workshop Director.
He has participated on important individual and collective expositions, noting the Tacubaya Subway station exhibition, the “Francisco Zarco” Civic Center exhibition, and the Expo 70 University of Nuevo León. He has participated as an evaluating jury of four editions of the Plastic Arts Reviews of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León and has been honored at the guest house of said exhibition.
He keeps constant at work, contributing to the education in plastic arts in various Institutions, noting the University Center Colegio Civil.
