Cora Díaz Flores
Born in Peru, she earned a degree in Visual Arts specializing on Engraving at the L’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels “La Cambre” Brussels, Belgium; she specialized in drawing at the L’Académie Royale des Beaux Arts of Brussels; and painting at the University of Montemorelos in Nuevo León. She achieved postgraduate studies in textile work, Artists Books, and Philosophy and History of Art in important centers of Belgium, France, Spain, Mexico, and Peru.
She has exposed her artwork in many countries, highlighting Belgium: Mons Museum; La Laouvière Museum, Mariemont Royal Museum, Académie Royale des Beaux Arts of Brussels, L’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels “La Cambre”; Chateau de Seneffe. In France: Mansion de Mexique, Aeroport de Paris; in R.O. China: Fine Art Museum of Taipei. In Mexico: Picture Gallery of Nuevo León, Metropolitan Museum of Monterrey, Linares Museum, Harold R. Pape Museum, Raúl Rangel Frías University Library of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León. Her career has been worthy of important mentions. She made the “Cimientos de una Esperanza” mural, located at the Agricultural and Biological Sciences Library. Centro de las Artes of Nuevo León; in Cuba: “Holguín”, Fondo Cubano de Bienes Culturales; and in the United States of America: International Museum of Art and Social Sciences, McAllen TX; as well as Holland, Peru, Luxemburg, Italy, and Switzerland.
