The new Area of Scientific Translation is presented

Monterrey, Nuevo León.

Last Wednesday August 15th, the personnel in charge of the Scientific Translation Area unveiled the new project that intents to promote knowledge in different languages, as well as offer different services to the community. The Area has a focus on Science, Research, and Academic fields but is opened to many different translation services.

The Area is located within the Knowledge Management Unit. This is an important project for the Center for Research and Development on Health Science, as well as for the Autonomous University of Nuevo León, as it is a unique service that aims to comply with the demands for translation that the scientific community needs, and as well as the needs that different Institutions, Universities, and Private Companies may have regarding translation of material and/or documents.

Some of the translation services include:

  • Academic and Scientific articles.
  • Scientific magazines, datasheets.
  • School or educational programs.
  • Protocols, catalogs, brochures, etc.

The procedure to request some of the services begin by downloading a request quote from the CIDIC’s webpage on the Scientific Translation section. Once the request is received, the documentation is analyzed to provide a proper quote for the service. If feasible, an agreement on payment is stablished, the client makes the payment (a 50% on advance to star is required) and the translation starts. When finished, it is thoroughly examined and reviewed to then be handed to the client (whether physically or via e-mail) after the client completes the rest of the payment.
